How to Be Like Ohana Matsumae from Hanasaku Iroha

A character loved by everybody, a sweet, beautiful, kind 16 year old girl from Hanasaku Iroha... Ohana Matsumae! 

Steps

1. First off - let's defeat the looks. Ohana has short, blonde curly hair. If you have short blonde curly hair then great! But if you don't, really don't worry about it. I wouldn't recommend killing your hair with hair dyes, curling irons and perms and such. But if you're willing to change your hair then do it! :D
2. Ohana wears 2 daisy-flowers on either side of her head. It's cute! And something you can imitate! If you're not a flowery person, you can use hair ribbons, bows, different flowers, clips, all sorts! There's an endless possibility to what you can use!
3. Ohana has lovely big anime eyes, right? Well if you would like to make your eyes seem bigger, then use eyeliner. Look over Wikihow on how to make your eyes look bigger. You can also buy contacts but that again, is not recommended. Keep as natural as possible!
4. Hana-chan doesn't wear much make-up. If any at all. So try to keep it natural! If you must use make-up, then just simple things like lip-gloss, eye shadow, concealed where needed, eyeliner and such. But please don't cover yourself in make-up! Anime girls have perfect skin, it's how they're drawn and created. Perfect 100% skin is impossible in the real world. So, Just keep it as best as you possibly can. Look at how to keep your skin clean.
5. Be well groomed. Shower daily, wash your hair every other day, use deodorants, perfumes, keep your nails clean and trimmed, shave your legs and armpits and such.

   For the clothes. Ohana seems to be wearing a lot of yellow in the anime. Such as in her 1st school uniform, her yellow scarf. And when she told Ko she's moving she wore a yellow Cardigan and so on. So yellow is a cute option.
7. Keep it simple. When you see her wearing her own clothes, you don't see her wear anything revealing or trashy. She mostly wears a blue hoodie. But of course, if you have your own clothing style, stick to it. The personality is more important!
8. When she's going out, in trains, buses and such, she's wearing White headphones! So you can buy some White headphones if you like, but they're expensive. So I recommend some cute earphones if you can't afford big headphones. Of course, plug it into your iPod/mp3/mp4/phone/whatever you've got, and enjoy the music! Try listening to J-pop or J-rock or even Vocaloid!
9. Now for personality... A big noticeable trait is that Ohana is energetic and bubbly! Especially when she was with Ko-chan and when she is with her friends! So, smile! When the going gets rough, don't bottle it up. Tell somebody you trust. Always think of happy thoughts!
10. Because she is the energetic type, try to get good night sleep so your tiredness won't get in the way of your energetic-ness! You could try out of sports, but if you're not the sporty type, then don't. Be energetic at heart! Just not fake. People would tell.
11. Ohana is mostly optimistic, why don't you be fully optimistic? See the glass as half full, not half empty. Think positive! Such as... Your walking home in a rainy day without your umbrella or coat. Be optimistic and think, well at least I could catch a bus, whereas my friend has to walk all the way to his house!
12. Stay strong! Look at everything Ohana's been through! Her Mum and her Many boyfriends... Suddenly moving to your Gran who will have nothing to do with you as a grandmother.. Now she has to WORK with her! She runs into a girl scared of her, a girl who tells her to die constantly and a seemingly pervert. And to top it all off... She is away from Ko.. And has to deal with their consequences! To think that she could stay strong, optimistic and smiling through all that, really must be something! So try to be strong! No matter what life throws at you!
13. Be helpful, kind and selfless! That's right. Try practicing random acts of kindness! Focus on GIVING and not TAKING. A lot of Ohana's good deeds gets backfired or unappreciated. So if you're finding you're unappreciated... Stay strong!
14. Be independent. Because Ohana's poor excuse of a mother barely raised her, she practically did everything herself and became independent at a young age. Being independent is great. Be your own best friend and rely on yourself! This does not mean drop all of your friends.
15. Overall Ohana is a pretty great girl! But stay true to yourself. If this is not you then don't change to be like her, you'll just end up losing yourself.
